The Long Night of Munich Museums 2025
Guided tours and live glass sound performances
As part of Munich’s Long Night of Museums on 18 October 2025, the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung will offer short guided tours through the exhibition Future Horizons. Glass in Contemporary Art, as well as live glass sound performances by Berlin-based artist Jesse Paul Günther. Listening Glass is an improvised sound performance exploring the auditory and material essence of glass. Using glass harmonium, bells, horn, and loop station, the piece invites listeners on a meditative journey through layered drones and resonant textures. Rooted in the act of deep listening, sound emerges from intimate interaction with the material—revealing fragility, tension, and presence. This performance becomes a live exploration of consciousness and perception, where listening is not just a response to sound, but its source.
With its upcoming exhibition Future Horizons. Glass in Contemporary Art, the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung is celebrating its 25th anniversary. On display are spectacular contemporary objects and installations by around 50 international artists. All of the works have one thing in common: a material that is rarely used in art—glass. It unfolds its specific effect through light and color, through haptics and technical sophistication, a narrative quality, and its emotional aura.
Tickets can be purchased at the box office in the BlackBox. Only card payment is possible. Further information on the program and tickets can be found on the website of the Long Night of Munich Museums.
This event is not barrier-free.
