Scholarship holders' day at Refratechnik Holding and Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung
As part of its science promotion program, the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung awards numerous scholarships each year, such as the Deutschlandstipendium. To date, a total of 470 scholarships have been awarded to students, enabling young scientists to study without financial worries and also strengthening the local science and business community in the long term.
This year’s Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung Scholarship Holders’ Day took place on 22 May at the foundation’s headquarters in Parkstadt Schwabing. A total of 27 doctoral candidates and students of materials science and engineering from various colleges and universities were invited. These included the Technical University of Munich, KIT Karlsruhe, the Technical University of Augsburg, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen (HAWK), the WesterWaldCampus of the University of Koblenz, and the University of Koblenz.
During the meeting, Maleachi Bühringer, Managing Director of Refratechnik Holding GmbH and Chairman of the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung, presented the activities of the Refratechnik Group, which is Europe’s largest owner-managed manufacturer of refractory ceramics and produces in all continents.
Afterwards, the scholarship recipients were given an introduction to the Alexander Tutsek Stiftung’s areas of activity and an exciting tour of the current exhibition, Love, Maybe. In the evening, there was plenty of opportunity for networking and mutual exchange.
