20-minute guided tour followed by a lunchtime snack
with Dr. Jörg Garbrecht

At first glance, sand and smartphones don’t seem to get along: sand scratches the surface and clogs cable sockets. And yet the raw material is needed for every smartphone: For liquid crystal displays, microchips, loudspeakers, microphones and housings. In a special tour through the exhibition, we follow the trail of a wide variety of sands from the scorching hot Atacama Desert in Chile to Casanovas Kabinett, from cool, shimmering desert disks to gossamer-soft, floating portrait screens.

Experience contemporary art in the compact format of a lunch break! The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung’s Lunch Breaks offer intellectual nourishment and culinary delight at the BlackBox. The foundation’s team provides 20 minutes of insights into the current show on changing artworks and themes. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to exchange ideas over a midday snack – either in the sculpture garden or the BlackBox, depending on the weather. The lunch snack is included in the ticket price.
