“The Journey of Life and Art” on First Memories by Baldwin and Guggisberg
First Memories, a 150 cm long metal boat, is loaded with colorful bottle-like objects that protrude from the boat like a bouquet of flowers in a vase, each pointing in a different direction. It seems as if people of different nationalities have crowded into the boat and embarked on an uncertain journey. Where is the journey going? Who are the motley “passengers”? The series of boats occupies a prominent position in Baldwin and Guggisberg’s oeuvre. The boat symbolizes the journey of life that every human being embarks on, but also the means of transport with which we navigate through life. Come along on the journey and discover more about the work of the artist couple.
Experience contemporary art in the compact format of a lunch break! The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung’s Lunch Breaks offer intellectual nourishment and culinary delights in the BlackBox and BlackBox FirstFloor. The foundation’s team provides 20 minutes of entertaining insights into the current exhibition of changing artworks and themes. Afterwards, there is an opportunity for discussion over a lunch snack. The lunch snack is included in the ticket price.
The ticket will be sent by email.
