20 minute guided tour followed by a lunch snack
With Dr. Sally Oey

A gigantic machine rises into the jet-black sky, its steel struts glowing in a ghostly cool light. Vera Lutter’s large-format photograph of the massive Rheinbraun Bagger 288 (Excavator 288) gives us an idea of the sheer dimensions of what was, at the time, the largest land vehicle in the world. In this work, as in other series, the New York-based and internationally renowned photographer addresses colossal objects in industry and architecture. She transforms the often-familiar motifs into mystical to sinister illusions, which she creates painstakingly with the help of an ancient technique and which we will explore in this Lunch Break.

Experience contemporary art in the compact format of a lunch break! The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung’s Lunch Breaks offer intellectual nourishment and culinary delight at the BlackBox, the new art venue in Parkstadt Schwabing. The foundation’s team provides 20 minutes of insights into the current show on changing artworks and themes. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to exchange ideas over a midday snack – either in the sculpture garden or the BlackBox, depending on the weather. The lunch snack is included in the ticket price.

The ticket will be delivered by email.

No shipping costs apply.
