New Exhibition Now Open

The new exhibition The World in My Hand opened in the BlackBox of the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung on Thursday. Numerous visitors came to see the new show of contemporary photography and sculptures with glass. The majority of the 35 artists represented in the exhibition were also present in the evening.

After a welcome by the foundation’s chairwoman Dr. Eva-Maria Fahrner-Tutsek, the two curators of the exhibition, Dr. Jörg Garbrecht and Katharina Wenkler, gave a brief introduction to the exhibition’s theme. Afterwards, the guests celebrated the opening of the exhibition with drinks and tapas.

The World in My Hand deals with the smartphone as an omnipresent everyday object and combines contemporary technology with social debates. In an expansive exhibition scenography, the 50 or so works open up exciting, personal glimpses into the world we hold in our hands with our smartphones.
