Education Support in Glass Schools and Glass Classes

The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung conducts a major funding program through which it supports glass schools and glass classes at art academies both nationally and internationally. The aim of this commitment of the foundation is to improve the education for students who want to work with glass as a material in art.

Various training centers are continuously supported over several years. The funding enables, among other things, the realization of workshops by guest lecturers, exhibition projects as well as the necessary technical equipment such as the purchase of a new hot glass furnace.

The funding program was started with the free art glass class at the Institute for Artistic Ceramics and Glass at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences in Höhr-Grenzhausen. In summer 2018, the Vocational School for Glass Technology and Glass Design at the Staatliche Glasfachschule Rheinbach was added to the program. With the support of the Glass Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam since the winter semester 2019, the foundation is also involved internationally.
