Dr. Eva-Maria Fahrner-Tutsek honored with the “Pro meritis scientiae et litterarum”
Dr. Eva-Maria Fahrner-Tutsek received the prestigious “Pro meritis scientiae et litterarum” award from Markus Blume, Bavarian Minister of State for Science and the Arts, at a ceremony held on 8 July 2025, at the Haus der Kunst. The Chairwoman of the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung was honored with this award in recognition of her many years of outstanding service to art and science.
Science and art are promoted in many ways in Bavaria. Since 2000, the State Minister of Science and the Arts has awarded the “Pro meritis scientiae et litterarum” distinction for special services in these fields. The aim is to honor outstanding personalities and promote a new understanding of culture as a whole. Science and art should be perceived as two sides of the same coin.
